The Riedell Ice Skates 10 is a nice entry level figure skate that won't break the bank and won't exactly discourage your child from learning how to ice skate. Our daughter loves it and we're sure we'll be upgrading once she outgrows this pair but we're expecting this pair to last at least 1 or more seasons. The padding along the ankle area is a lot better than what we've seen when shopping for a nice entry level pair of skates. Overall, a nice entry level pair to have your child break in with.

I ordered these skates for my granddaughter. They arrived promptly and are a great pair of ice skates for a child who's just beginning to skate. I'm glad I bought them instead of paying for skate rentals each week.

These ice skates are nice. They have held up great, and are wondeful quality. I will be buying the next size up this year, and I don't feel any need to look at all the other choices.

I have purchased three pair of these ice skates for my daughter whose foot seems to grow overnight! My daughter is 4 years old (skates on average 8-10 hours a week) and is in our local Figure Skating Club who also competes. The Riedell 10 skate is perfect for her little (but growing) feet. They are nicely padded on the inside of the boot which make for pain-free skating. She has never complained of cold or hurting feet/ankles. I always have them sharpened when I first receive them and then again every 2 months or so. Since we store them completely dry after skating, and put them on the boot warmer before hitting the ice, I have yet to see any rust. I have been advised to move her up to the Riedell 12 when this recent pair gets too small. I highly recommend Riedell to the occassional skater or the skater who is just starting out but skates frequently.

So far, so good! Good very basic skate. They seem to run a bit on the narrow side. Unlike some others, you need to order your actual shoe size to get a proper fit.

We recieived these skates quickly but one skate would always buckle under. WE could not get through by phone to the company (skate buys)and gave up and took them to a local technician. He said the skates had been stored improperly by the company (or whoever stores them )and that is what was causing the buckling. He showed us a way to tie the skates to begin to pull them back into shape.
